WARSAW, Poland (CelebrityAccess) — Warner Music South East Europe (WMSEE) announced the launch of Balkan Electro, a new EDM label focused on exposing electronic artists from the Balkans and Ukraine to international audiences.
The new label was launched through a collaboration between WMG and the noted EDM label Ensis Records, founded and owned by Alex Cristian. As part of the deal, WMG will distribute and upstream music from the label’s roster through the Warner Music owned label.
Additionally, WMGSE, WM Poland, and Ensis Records will work together to sign new and emerging local talent to the label.
At its debut, Balkan Electro has three projects on the release calendar, including Prisko and TBX’s ‘Back to 95’, which is already on streaming platforms; Melli’s ‘Losing My Mind’, out on April 26th; and Kevin’s Palacios and Jordan’s Grace ‘Bright As You’, out on May 10th.
“It’s a proud moment for me launching Balkan Electro alongside Alex. EDM music has no geographical boundaries, so we’ll strive to find the next local superstar and take them to the world stage with the help of Warner Music’s global network,” stated Izabela Ciszek-Podziemska, General Manager, WM SEE.
“There are so many unknown talented producers and DJs across Eastern and South Eastern Europe, so I’m looking forward to working with Iza, Warner Music and its team to make Balkan Electro a big success. EDM is already present locally in this part of Europe thanks to local festivals such as Untold, Sziget, and Ultra Europe, so I want to showcase our local talent and music to the world,” added Alex Cristian, founder and owner of Ensis Records.
