3 rescued from Lake Rowena, 1 transported

UPDATE:

According to Dauntless fire chief Mike Sheehan, 3 people were rescued from Lake Rowena Saturday afternoon.

Chief Sheehan says that two of the people "self-rescued" themselves and were able to climb back onto the ice.

One other person had to be rescued by the water rescue team.

That person was transported to Conemaugh Hospital for further evaluation, according to Cambria County dispatch.

A water rescue was performed Saturday afternoon at Lake Rowena in Ebensburg, according to Cambria County dispatch.

Jackson and East Taylor water rescue units, Ebensburg EMS and Dauntless fire company were all dispatched to the lake around 3:30 p.m.

It is unclear at this time how many people were rescued and why they were on the lake.
