The Stratfield Village Association will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the park, 1401 Stratfield Road, at 11 a.m., Nov. 18.
The upgrades include a new toddler playground, renovated bathroom facilities and new wooded walking trails behind the park, which will be dedicated to longtime Stratfield-area resident and World War II veteran Ed Crowley.
Crowley and his family, First Selectman Mike Tetreau, state and local leaders and members of the Fairfield American Legion Post 143 are expected to attend. Refreshments will be served.
The park improvements were privately funded through the nonprofit Stratfield Village Association.
