Johnson, the United States Senator, released a statement after Wisconsin Republican leaders rose in favor of striking down the state's order, which suggested wearing face masks.

Similarly, he attended the event even after knowing his illness wearing a mask and staying at least 12 feet from anybody as [he was] speaking. Johnson immediately left for dinner after making his remarks in the function. When asked whether he was going through a self-isolation or not, he mentioned, 'no reason to do so.'
He further stated, 'I'm not sick. I have no symptoms. I certainly didn't anticipate testing positive, so there was no reason to quarantine.'
However, he made a contradictory statement saying that he believes that masks can mitigate the risks, but they are not 'certainly not a cure-all.' As per the Federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, those who are tested positive for Coronavirus should self-isolate at home as well as follow the guidelines prescribed by the health care provider.
Concerning him testing positive, he mentioned that he would remain in isolation until the doctor clears his health demographics.
