In Red Dead Online the missions that you take and your actions in the world will increase and decrease your honor.  Depending on what type of player you want to be, you’ll want to take missions that align with your honorable or dishonorable intentions.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Online How to Tell if a Mission Increases or Decreases Honor

When taking on Stranger Missions in Red Dead Online you can see whether you will increase or decrease honor by taking a mission.  Stranger Missions are the pinkish color missions on the open world map.  When you reach one of these icons you will find a stranger that is willing to give you work.  When you approach this person you can interact with them like other things in the game.  Pressing the LT/L2 trigger will start the interaction and you’ll be able to see what type of mission they are looking to give you.  What you’ll want to look at when accepting a Stranger Mission to determine whether it will increase or decrease honor is the icon next to the button prompt to accept the mission.  If the icon is red this is a mission that will decrease your honor.  If the mission icon is white it is a mission that will increase your honor.
