The legendary rock band Queen has announced plans for a North American tour that will kick off in the fall.

Adam Lambert will once again be serving as the band's vocalist with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor.

Our last tour featured our most ambitious production ever. So we decided to rip it apart and get even more ambitious," May said in a statement on the band's website. "Watch out world.”

Lambert, who became a household name during a stint on American Idol in 2009, joined May and Taylor two years later. He said he is looking forward to performing.

I can’t wait to tour North America one more time with the Rhapsody tour alongside the two unbelievably talented legends that are Brian May and Roger Taylor," Lambert said in the statement.

The "Rhapsody Tour" is slated to start in October. The following is a list of dates and venues:

May and Roger are two of the band's original members. They formed the band in London in 1970 with bassist John Deacon and then-lead singer Freddie Mercury, who died in 1991.

Tickets for the new tour will be available via a general on-sale beginning March 31 at 10 a.m. EST on LiveNation.com.
