Officials with the Punxsutawney Area School Board confirmed that a special meeting is scheduled for next week to vote on amending new "charges" against co-principal Paul Hetrick.

According to the new Statement of Charges that was posted to the district's website, Hetrick is accused of multiple incidents of sexual harassment against a fellow co-worker during the fall of 2022.

The documents claim that, on one occasion, Hetrick allegedly told the female co-worker to "flash" another fellow employee, adding “any man would stop and look at those things."

District officials allege that Hetrick made numerous other crude comments to the female co-worker, which resulted in her "feeling uncomfortable" and quitting her job.

Hetrick was placed on administrative leave in mid-December after he was sentenced for charges stemming from a DUI arrest and multiple PFA violations.

District officials noted that Hetrick allegedly violated the conditions of his administrative leave by attending a Punxsutawney boys' basketball game on Dec. 16th.

The Punxsutawney School Board will formally vote to amend the Statement of Charges during a special meeting on on January 24th, at 6 p.m.

If the amended charges are approved, the school board says they will then vote on Hetrick's dismissal at a hearing on Feb. 13th, also at 6 p.m.
