CAPETOWN, SA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Classic rock band Procol Harum have been forced to drop out of the British Invasion tour after lead singer Gary Brooker injured himself in a fall that left him hospitalized.

A press release by the tour's South African promoter read:

It is with deep regret that Big Concerts announced this morning that the scheduled appearance of Procol Harum on the British Invasion Tour of South Africa has been cancelled.

Sadly, the lead singer and founder member of Procol Harum, Gary Brooker, severely injured himself after a fall in Cape Town on Tuesday night. Mr. Brooker is in a serious but stable condition

“Our thoughts are with Gary and the band during this difficult time. We are confident that he is receiving the very best medical attention and we wish him a speedy recovery,” added Big Concerts’ CEO Attie van Wyk.
