Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — **2nd UPDATE**
Authorities in Somerset County are providing new details about Friday's fatal shooting at a residence along Charles Street in Shade Township.
According to the affidavit, investigators say just before 11 a.m. Friday, state police received a 911 call from the alleged suspect, 67-year-old Gregory Mostoller.
Police say Mostoller reportedly told authorities "a guy came at me with a wrench, and I killed him."
Investigators say troopers later arrived at the scene, located along the 800 block of Charles Street, where the victim was reportedly found "partially" underneath a sliding barn door.
Police say the victim was identified as Clifton Earl Johnson, of Hooversville.
Upon further investigation, troopers learned that Johnson suffered approximately 7 gunshot wounds, including four to his back, two in his right bicep and one to his right eye.
Investigators noted that one of the bullets broke the victim's right arm.
Police say Mostoller was taken into custody and would not provide troopers with any information, other than where the gun was located.
Investigators say a .45 caliber pistol was found on a nearby work bench and had an empty magazine.
Police add that there was one live round left in the gun's chamber, which reportedly matched the shell casings that were found near the victim's body.
According to online court records, Mostoller is being held at the Somerset County Prison, on charges of criminal homicide, and his bail was denied.
