PORTAGE -- Portage Football coach Gary Gouse has seen just about everything in his storied coaching career. He has guided the Mustangs to great success in his 29 years at the helm.

After yet another playoff berth and a top of the WestPAC finish in 2019, Gouse has decided to call it his last.

The school board accepted his resignation as part of the scheduled proceedings at Wednesday night's meeting.

After 40 years of coaching, Gouse will enjoy retirement and spend more time with his family.
