Former Penn State QB Kerry Collins to be inducted into College Football Hall of Fame

ATLANTA - Former Penn State quarterback Kerry Collins has been selected to the College Football Hall of Fame.

In the announcement Monday, Collins was one of 10 players in the 2018 class.

Collins was a member of the Nittany Lions from 1991-94 and led them to 12-0 mark in '94 and a No. 2 national ranking.

That season, he broke nine Penn State single-season passing records and won the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien Awards.

He finished his Nittany Lions' career with 5,304 passing yards and 39 touchdowns.

Following his collegiate career, Collins played 17 seasons in the NFL and led the New York Giants to the Super Bowl in the 2000 season.

He finished his professional career with more than 40,000 passing yards and 208 touchdown passes.
