Cambria County officials say a Saint Francis student who was accused of sexually assaulting a woman inside a campus dormitory has entered a plea in the case.

Authorities say Kendal Marks appeared in court earlier this week where he pleaded no contest to a reduced charge of simple assault.

Marks was charged last May following an investigation into allegations that he assaulted a fellow student inside a university dorm room.

According to court documents, Marks has been ordered to serve 24 months probation and he is also prohibited from having any contact with the victim.

Officials say his sentence also requires him to "maintain his schooling" and he must participate in a behavioral health program.
