Street cred is a type of reputation in Cyberpunk 2077. It comes separately from regular experience points, and serves a different purpose. Since it’s not tied to your progression through the main story, or the number of people you gun down, some players are confused by how it all works. If you’re one of them, our Cyberpunk 2077 street cred guide will explain how the system functions, and how to get more street cred.
How street cred works?
Street cred is literally your reputation in Night City. It doesn’t affect your stats, it doesn’t affect combat, but what it does do is open doors. For instance, certain side missions are locked behind street cred requirements – you can’t take them on if you’re just a nobody. Those missions usually have great rewards, which means you’ll be missing out on some great gear. Likewise, vendors keep their best stock for famous customers – if you’re not one, you’re limited to just the usual iron.
