To get ACNH counters in Animal rossing New Horizons, or island counters, if you prefer, you first need to get the Happy Home Paradise DLC. Start the game up and complete the phone call with Nook. The next step is to go to the airport and meet Lottie, then agree to be under her employ designing vacation homes. Keep going until Lottie promotes you, which should happen around your fifteenth home request. Go and talk to Niko about DIY projects in the break room. The next day, speak with Niko again in the school, and that’s how you unlock access to counters, as well as pillars, partition walls, etc. It’s all for aesthetic purposes, of course, but then again, that’s the name of the game when it comes to the vacation homes.
