CENTRE COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Community pools in our area are beginning to reopen for the season, including Park Forest Community Pool, in Centre County.

Todd Roth is the aquatics supervisor for Centre Region Parks and Recreation and says that this is one of two community pools that they operate.

He says they have spent a lot of time training staff and working on the facilities to get them ready to open.

Roth also says they are thankful for some sun during their opening weekend.

“We want families with children and aquatics users of all ages to come and use our facilities and be able to enjoy them, we’re very fortunate to live in a community that values outdoor recreation as such a high priority and we’re happy to be able to serve our role in helping to manage that.”
