BIOGRAPHY
The dancer, model, actress and vedette, Angélica Chaín Martínez, was born on May 24, 1956 in Orizaba, Veracruz, Mexico. Her family is of Lebanese origin, she became one of the great stars of fotonovelas, remembered for hits such as “Office Girls”, “Sunset Red”, “In the Shadow of Divorce” and “The Bad Life of a Good Girl “, among many others. She participated in film productions of the genre known as ficheras cinema or sexycomedies, of which she is considered one of the greatest exponents and one of the sex symbols of Mexican cinema in the 1960s. In 1974 she debuted on the big screen with the film Santo and Blue Demon against Doctor Frankenstein, which was followed by others such as A Thousand Miles South (1978) , Midnight Dolls (1979) , Sex Makes Me Laugh (1979) , Life Sentence (1979) , among others. In 1991 she retired from the screen, her last projects being the films Hembras de Tierra Caliente (1990) , The Temptation (1989) and The Intimate Diary of a Cabaretera (1989). Angélica Chain has not returned to television or film.
